Days Inn by Wyndham San Antonio Airport

I have been at this hotel for a week and truely have enjoyed my stay. The office staff are so great and accommodating anything they can do to make your stay more comfortable. There is construction on the Hwy next to hotel, no fault of hotel. I felt safe here, no loitering of nonregistered guests. My room is spacious and clean the hotel is clean everywhere. The pool was clean but didn't have water but it is January so I am sure it was drained for upkeep. The service people are very nice here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I would like to add the pics of pool someone posted is not the pool here not even same shape and I will ad my room and my grown son's rooms were very nice and did not look like pics either. Stay here great price and atmosphere!

Positive: The only good thing I can saw about this hotel was the hotel manger who checked me in was very accommodating. I needed a bottle opener and we was able to use what he had to pry open it for me. Also hotel transportation was on time ! Negative: My whole room smelt ! Once I turned on the airflow the smell dissipated but the bathroom forever smelt like old soggy mold. The bathroom was kept shut at all times ! The tv was bruised, ironing board had a weird stain on it as well as the bed sheets.

The day after writing this review, I looked on my credit card app and the pending charge went from half my deposit to my complete deposit. I called them last night and they were of no help because the manager is not available. This morning, the charge came through and once again the amount charged had changed. This time to a random amount. I called my credit card company and they immediately reversed the charge because of the shady situation and permanently credited my account. Quite disappointing experience, even with the price, it’s still below expectations. The room was not maintained well at all, not fully cleaned, stains found on doors, walls, curtains and the sofa. It’s equipped with limited furniture, not enough to put luggage. The chair surface was ripped. Super disappointing breakfast. Only coffee, tea and granola bar are offered since they claim that’s their “light breakfast”. The granola bars even have an expiration date two months ago! After the sole front desk staff called the manager, all they can offer is to buy some bars from Walmart after his coworker comes in after 8:30am. As for the free shuttle pickup from the airport, you need to give them a ring after walking to B22 outside the arrival, then the staff will drive the van over from the hotel.

Stopped in here with a camper hooked up and while they don’t have truck parking, they did accommodate us and gave us a spot to park and then open the gate so we could pull off the back road without having to back out onto the main road the location is directly across from the airport gates you can go into the pool and have the airplanes fly right over top of you. It was very cool. Also, we were extremely impressed with how clean the broom and the interior of the hotel was with that being said the shower is remodeled and very nice and the mattress was one of the most comfortable mattresses we have ever slept on out of any hotel Airbnb only comparable to our home mattress which was around $3000 so very impressed.
