Days Inn by Wyndham Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda

When we arrived the room was hot. We figured it was because the curtains were open and it was 78 and sunny. We shut the curtains and turn the ac down as low as it would go and left for the day and return around midnight. The room was the same hot never cooled off. Then we woke up to power going on and off between 2am -4am, no storms nothing. Now it 6am and we are killing roaches crawling everywhere, on our bags. And yes we tried calling the front desk but of course the phone doesn’t work

Positive: great room Negative: the breakfast options were very limited to toast and yogurt and cereal.

Our experience during a two-night stay in November 2025 was unacceptable and downright unsanitary.|When we checked in on Friday, November 14th, we immediately noticed scattered roaches and ants throughout the room. Worst experience ever! Where do I start? Rooms were nice but the desk chair broke when I sat in it. A screw fell out of the bottom. Easy fix but they wanted to charge me for breaking it. There was NO ice anywhere at the hotel. There was also no hot breakfast as the waffle maker was broken so it was cereal and fruit. The kicker was when I tried to add one more night. KELLY are the front desk was the most horrible customer service person I've ever run across. She had an attitude immediately! She accused me of putting dog poop on a wash cloth. I told her it was chocolate from my husband eating ice cream. She wanted to charge me for that as well. Wish I could give them zero stars, the only people that have any type of customer service knowledge are the housekeepers and they don’t even speak English. I got to the hotel around 3-4 in the morning attempting to leave an unsafe situation, was told I paid for the day not night, and was harassed by the Indian woman on staff at 11:50 in the morning who would not leave the front of my door until I came to the front to pay for the 3 hours I was there as two nights, (as I was extremely sick and had just fallen asleep), extremely strange seeing as they had my card down and normal hotels just charge the card….
