Days Inn by Wyndham Mason City

Positive: The room was nice for what we paid Negative: The beds were terrible, pillows were super thin, room was hot even with AC set at 66. Breakfast left more to be desired

When I walked in the Days inn, the entire front lobby was decorated in Christmas attire. They had candles, burning and a very nice ambience. Was like walking into my grandmother's house on Christmas. The decorations were an absolute wonderful touch. I stay in hundreds of hotels all across the Midwest. And for $52 a night you're not going to find anything better or more welcoming. Christy that works in the front is about as sweet as Christmas pie. So kind and polite. She's worked here for 30 years and was overly generous and gracious. I highly recommend staying here if you're on a budget or if you're not.

This motel was very clean, both inside and out. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The front staff was very friendly and we were greeted by them both coming and going. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

My family and I stayed here and were here for 7 hours before finding out there was a dead mouse in our room. We called the front desk and the lady told us that this incident has never happened before. While coming to the room, she was trying to tell us that it wasn’t a mouse but it was. She was sweeping it with a broom and ended up ripping it apart and then the room smelled horrid. She did not offer us a new room or our money back. We just got told “everything should be good now.” I do not recommend this place to anyone. The rooms were kind of iffy to begin with being clean.

It stinks like cigarettes as soon as you get in there and I got cigarette burn holes in my sheets when I was in a smoke free room don’t ever go there. Rather sleep in a tent
