Camp At the Woods (Open Year Around)

Second time staying here & it just gets better every time! Rented a camper to stay in for 3 weeks while working in Mason city(short 15min drive to everything in town) and it was amazing! The river is beautiful & Ray was extremely helpful & responsive! The bath house was a short walk & very clean with long lasting hot water! Pet friendly has we have 3 small dogs we travel with full time. Will definitely be visiting again in the future. Highly recommend. Even had the pleasure of seeing the northern lights while we were there!

Ray is a fantastic camp host! Always there to offer advice when asked and the park is well run. It is a mix of weekend/short vacationers as well as seasonal/contract workers and nurses. It is the only 4 season park in the area, but close to Mason City. Mail is via the post office in Plymouth, and Amazon delivers to the park. Swimming pool is seasonal, well kept, and the center of the social life during the summer. The river borders the park and is used for tubing during the summer. Deer, rabbits, turkey and other wildlife are frequently seen near the park. Its a great place to stay for a few days or months

I am here visiting my man while he is here for work! It’s a very quiet and clean place! Love this lil cabin on the River!!! Beautiful even in December! Listing to the River while outside on the patio (it’s been a nice weekend)…. Loved it!!! The owners and staff have been super kind and even baked a snack for the cabin crew! 💕

Thank you so much for letting us park on your property for our very early morning kayaking trip. A very convenient place to park, just make sure you call or text them to ask for permission and make sure there’s no tent campers using the area, they greatly appreciate it!

My husband and I stayed here for a week in June with our 3 year old. Ray, the owner, gave us excellent directions, we travelled from the Northeast. The location is cozy with the river running next to the campground. We stayed in one of the cabins that we found via airbnb. It was very clean. The playground was a bonus and our daughter loved the water slide at the pool. Ray is incredibly responsive and attentive. We would definitely stay here next summer.
