Cuyamaca Rancho State Park

The trail starts off a bit challenging but then becomes moderate and very peaceful. It’s quiet, surrounded by beautiful nature, and it’s easy to find a nice spot to stop and take it all in. At the end of the trail, there’s a great area that’s perfect for sitting down and enjoying lunch, especially if you’re hiking with a group.

Cuyamaca Rancho State Park is a hidden gem in San Diego County, offering stunning natural beauty and a peaceful escape into nature. One of the highlights is the Green Valley Falls Trail, a short 0.4-mile loop that leads you to both the upper and lower waterfalls. The trail is easy to navigate and suitable for families and beginners. The falls are most impressive in spring and early summer when the water flow is strongest due to seasonal rainfall.

Camped here for 2 days. Beautiful 5 mile hike begins here. Lots of manzanita, small waterfall. Watch out for red ants at campsite. No rv hookups but water and dump station available.

Great spot for cyclists who love nature. Lots of varied trails through forests and meadows make this park ideal for mountain biking and exploring the outdoors.
