Apple Tree Inn

My husband and I both agreed that we would love to stay here again and we are already recommending this Inn to our friends. It is a few miles away from busy Main Street in Julian, in a quiet roadside community. We had a delicious lunch at Heroes Wood-fired pizza and pie at Mom’s bakery just down the road. The room was clean, and felt spacious thanks to wood floors, wood-beamed ceilings and minimal furniture. The sheets and towels were soft, the bed was comfortable and the Keurig station well stocked with a variety of coffees and creamers, perfect for our morning coffee. We had no interaction with staff because there is no check in procedure, we were texted a code for our door and that was it. So simple!

Good location and cute rooms, yes. However we went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and ended up all night listening to the neighbors fight. I get they can’t control, to an extent, what other guests do, but the issue was the walls are so thin you could hear every footstep of the neighbor which made their harsh fighting even more uncomfortable to deal with as we tried our hardest to not make any noise. We ended up cutting our two night stay short by checking out early the next morning so we could feel safe.

We had an amazing stay at the Oak Tree Inn. From start to finish, everything was smooth and stress-free. The check-in and check-out process was incredibly easy, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We were especially grateful for how pet-friendly the inn is—it made traveling with our pet such an easy transition and truly welcoming. The staff member working during our stay was very responsive, kind, and helpful, which we really appreciated. On top of that, the cleanliness of the room and property stood out. Everything felt well cared for and comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Julian—especially those traveling with pets!

Stayed the night during a two day craft show I was doing so I just wanted an affordable place to sleep. It was a bit more pricy than I was looking for but it was very comfortable and clean. I love that they repurposed old furniture into a modern decor. It felt like an old motel turned into a charming boutique hotel. I would absolutely recommend it. It’s right next to the best restaurant in California, Jeremy’s on the Hill, and across from a great pizza place. Only 5 or 10 minutes from town center.

We needed to change to a different room and I believe it was the owner who was extremely accommodating. She answered our call past office hours and arranged a move. Both rooms we saw were clean and comfortable. The staff were also friendly and very helpful. We would stay here again if we visit Julian another time.
