Hi, I am the new owner of the Cutty Sark and have taken over from my grandparents who have owned and operated the property since the 1970’s. We are currently completely renovating the motel with restored original terrazzo floors, fresh paint and all new furniture. We have read through the past reviews and are doing everything we can to preserve what makes this place special while addressing your concerns. We hope that you will consider staying with us again as we reopen this spring!

We took a chance at this retro style efficiency studio apartment and really glad we did. We rented the studio apartment for 3 ppl. Late check in was super easy and Jared was informative. Our Parking spot was literally next to our apt. Location is amazing, at the northern tip of the boardwalk. It’s very quiet since Atlantic Ave is not too busy up here. We could easy stroll 3 blocks to Pocahontas Breakfast and 5 blocks to the Neptune statue, and a block from the Green Cat for juices. Having a kitchen enabled us to make bfast one day. Full size fridge. Double bed and a rollaway bed was perfect. What delighted us was when we opened the door at 11 pm after a long drive, we were immediately greeted by the lights on, clean room and bathroom with the air con and fan already cooling the room in t

It's a great place to stay. Great views, very clean, and well taken care of. I'm staying in one of the efficiencies for 8 nights and it's good except I would definitely recommend a little updating and better pillows and mattress. I think maybe they haven't updated because they want to keep that old world charm. They definitely need better mattresses and pillows though . I was born and raised here but moved to Florida 5 yrs ago. Some of the cottages were here since before I was born in1964. The efficiencies were built when I was 5 in 1969. They have taken very good care of all of it. The only downfall with the efficiencies is that you can only have 2 occupants. Which means no visitors and especially no noise. It's somewhat understandable because the efficiency part of the place is somewhat

Positive: Location Negative: This review is regarding the cottage I was provided to stay with my toddler.Roaches everywhere and no lock in bathrooms. Carpets were so dirty looks like it was cleaned like centuries ago.Not a good place to stay with children.

My father and I stayed here last year, for the NAS Oceana Naval Air Show, and, we stayed here again this year, and, I will continue to stay here for that show, every year. I didn’t catch the housekeeping folks names, but, Jerry, Doug, and Martha are all very nice people, and I really enjoy staying here.
