Wow! This place is amazing after the reno. The rooms are spacious and tastefully done. Very comfortable. The Bistro does a good job with the happy hours and the breakfast offering. The reception staff are so welcoming and attentive. And yes, the icing on the cake was a gesture by the Reception staff - my wife and i were given bottles of water and a chocolate bar, just in case, with the impending storm. This was a gesture, which really warmed our hearts. Thank you Crowne Plaza! This humane touch goes a long way.

Positive: I've visited this hotel in several occasions. I think it's location is good with access to services, grocery, and restaurants. The staff was welcoming, worked fast to check you in and out, and provided clear guidance. Clean lobby and hallways. Negative: The initial room I stayed in was nice and clean. I liked the updated bathroom shower. On my last stay. I was placed in another room that needed maintenance such as painting, drywall work, and bed mattress was in bad shape on the corner facing headboard.

I stayed here for eight days and somewhat enjoyed my stay overall. The room was clean, and several staff members were genuinely kind and accommodating. Kristina at the front desk was especially wonderful. She had excellent customer service and handled requests professionally and efficiently. Most of the male staff members I interacted with were also very helpful and accommodating. However, my experience was inconsistent depending on who was working. There was one daytime front desk employee (AA woman with crimped voluminous clavicle length hair) in particular who repeatedly shut down simple requests without effort or explanation. When I asked about extending my stay, early check in, or early check out, I was immediately told nothing could be done. Yet when I spoke to other front desk st

Checked in late and was assigned a room with non-functioning air conditioning. The temperature stayed at 76°F, making the room uncomfortable and unsuitable for sleeping.||At 10:30 PM, I called the front desk to request a room change due to the maintenance failure. The request was flatly refused, and the staff member’s tone was rude and dismissive. After I finished the call in disappointment, she called back just to hang up on me. This was not a case of a preference request, instead just a broken room feature.||Hotels may have occupancy constraints, but placing a guest in a defective room and then responding unprofessionally when the issue is reported is unacceptable. The handling of the situation showed a lack of basic customer service and accountability.||I am an IHG Diamond Elite and Amb

The front desk staff and house keeping were great. The rooms were very nice. The deposit was ridiculous and is my biggest complaint. My bill was 400 dollars and the deposit was 300. For a hotel that has no room service, no mini bar, and no way to charge anything to the room I’m not sure what “incidentals” the funds are being held for. I was not the only person complaining about this in the lobby as I left. I’m in Houston frequently and will not stay here again due to the large deposit for a hotel room. The elevators have issues. I’m not sure what’s up with that. The restaurant was fine and the food was decent. Again, it can’t be charged to your room so I’m not sure what the deposit is for, unless you’re just expecting people to trash the room.
