Customer Reviews
The reasons for the one-star rating are service and quality of product. Starting with quality of product - I would say there is nothing remarkable about this hotel. In terms of amenities and rooms, they get a passing score. The rooms, while far from luxury, are decently put together, and the bathrooms are acceptable. The on-site gym is very bare-bones, but at least it exists. And yes, there is technically breakfast offered to guests, though it is far from a great and filling meal. Now, on to service - staff seem entirely uninterested in helping with anything. From late-night noise to checking in or out, I have had zero luck with them doing anything in the way of assisting a guest. Additionally, do not expect them to answer phone calls. I recently had to change some travel plans du
Positive: People write good reviews and poor ones for this hotel. Yes it’s an older place and no the staff isn’t so friendly but it’s very inexpensive for Santa Fe and the rooms are very clean and the breakfast is pretty good. Different than chain hotels. Negative: I wish the staff smiled. I’m extremely friendly and I always have a good chat w hotel staff but not so much here but still worth it.
It was a great place to stay
Wow, well where to start. Should a hotel have staff there at suggested check in time, or before...YES. We arrived a bit early just to get a feel for the place knowing ck in was at 4 or later. We waited about 10 -15 minutes and left after no one showed up at front desk. Went back after 4pm and a person was there. We knew the price per night was more than decent, but remember, you get what you pay for. Issues: Tub had mold around the areas where the shower wall met tub, the bathtub floor was broken, and it looked as though they tried to patch it, but it didn't work. Bed very lumpy. Only few towels. No stops or end caps on curtain rod, so when I tried to close the curtain, the long rod fell off and hit me on the shoulder. Ouch! Not so clean to say the least. They seemed short staffed and the
The room was rather comfortable, but it smelled GROSS. They put an air freshener in the room to try to mask the odor, but it was just disgusting. It smelled like antiseptic and sweet air freshener covering years and years of animal smells. The room needed to be deep cleaned to get those smells out. Every time I reentered the room, the smell was overwhelming. I would not stay there again. I should also mention that when I called the front desk because our toilet would not flush and the sink would not drain, they told me that they could send someone the next morning. We were just staying one night and leaving right after breakfast, so we had to deal with the plumbing issues ourselves. They also tacked on fees after we booked, including a $40 pet fee. The room was dirty with sticky floors. I'
