Courtyard by Marriott Washington, DC/U.S. Capitol

Positive: The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and it was also in a great, walkable, location. Negative: The interior entry light was out in my room which I informed the staff about as soon as I learned about it. Traveling with a child and needing to prepare food in that area was rough. The night before I checked out, they brought in a lamp.

I am glad my family chose to stay at Courtyard by Marriott Washington DC/ US Capitol. The location is within one minute walk to NoMa station which is easily accessible to the major museums and other tourist attractions. Walking distance to nearby restaurants, grocery store, cafe and 7- eleven. ||My family enjoys the breakfast on the 2nd/ F. The food is delicious. The staff are very friendly. A great thank you to Diana and Aster. ||The hotel overall is nice. The staff there are friendly and helpful. They serve hot chocolate and warm cookies late afternoon. It was a nice surprise to us. The pool water was cold though so we did not swim but we enjoyed exercising at the fitness center that was well maintained. My room is facing the railroad. I did hear the trains however, the noise

Room smells like smoke even when confirmed it’s non smoking. You can hear everything. Train is loud if you’re located on an odd number side of building. Wouldn’t recommend not even for quick weekend trip for just showering and sleeping. Staff are all friendly and nice and understood my concerns and why I wanted to cancel. Location is close to Union market with quick food and convenience stores near by.

The location is very convenient right beside NoMa station. Only a 5 min walk to trader joe's. Our room faces the railroad track so we can hear train running but it didn’t bother us as noise is faint. If you want less noise best to ask room that faces the street. Breakfast was good but they were short staffed due to the holidays. I can tell they are trying their best but there were more tourists. During the holidays especially weekend, if you don't want to wait for long line or follow up on missing orders then best to go down for breakfast before 9am. Aster, Diana and Seven were very friendly and helpful at breakfast bar. The men with brown hair who checked us in were very friendly too. Our shower was clogged and they had a gentleman came to unclog within 10 mins and also gave us a

Check-in is at 4pm but my flight got me there by 10am. So the waiting for a room started out bad. The king room was very nice and spacious. Loved it being next the NOMA Metro, 7-Eleven, Subway, 5 Guys & Dominoes Pizza. Marriott Ambassador Marquette is hands down the best part of this Marriott location. His superior customer service & engagement is the sole reason why I will be staying there again on my next D.C. work trip in April. 🤗💯
