Courtyard by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront/North 37th Street

As a Marriott employee and logging over 30 nights this year in Marriotts, this is my personal opinion. Cleanliness and maintenance are very important to me, however, I also know the struggles of staffing a hotel. The turnover is typically high, accountability with staff is difficult when you are sometimes struggling to just get them to show up but the slow times should really be managed to effectively tend to the items that need to be done. At this hotel, you are solely paying for location and the view. The staff were extremely helpful but when I tried to request towels, the room phone constantly rang busy, I then requested towels through the app and hours later they were not there. I finally called and the person at the desk said “no one was there” to bring the towels up but that hou

Our stay at the Courtyard in Va Beach was great and we loved the location near the end of the boardwalk. The oceanfront view was perfect for every sunrise. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. It was not a busy weekend, which made our trip peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the pools but the indoor pool needed cleaning from all the sand that individuals brought in. The staff was very attentive to keeping the towels stocked by the pool area. Also, the staff were always available and they was always cleaning and wiping down the common areas. Although our stay was short, we wished that we could have stayed longer. We will definitely come back and stay again at the Courtyard.

Our stay at The Courtyard was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Every team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had a wonderful experience. A very special thank-you to Angie, who truly made our stay unforgettable. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail stood out from the moment we checked in. She was always ready with a smile and helpful suggestions, and she made us feel right at home. Welcoming and super friendly check-in! We were switched to another room per our request with zero issues and excellent customer service! Check out was as friendly and quick as check in! Great view, cozy suite and Starbucks coffee to go 🤩

Friendly staff, upgraded us to a suite which was so well designed and suited our family better. Everything was clean and nice having a tv in the living area and another in bedroom. Pool was nice and clean. The grandkids really enjoyed it. We also liked that it was on the upper end of the boardwalk and quieter
