Courtyard by Marriott Virginia Beach Norfolk

PJ provided outstanding service during my stay. He was professional, friendly, and made sure everything was taken care of so my stay went smoothly. He really went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied, and it made a big difference in my experience at the Courtyard Virginia Beach/Norfolk.||I truly appreciate his attention to detail and customer care. If you get the chance to be helped by PJ, you’re in good hands.||Highly recommend.

Very pretty at appearance and clean but issues when looking too close. They had a bistro that appeared to serve alcohol and all-day meals but I quickly found out they don't and only do a very limited breakfast which is not included with the room. The staff is very nice.

Positive: No carpet in the room! It just seems cleaner that way. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom and the pool outside looked newly renovated. Negative: The extra lock inside kept getting hung on the door when closed which made getting in difficult (it was crooked, so if they fixed it, it wouldn’t happen anymore)

I enjoyed my stay at this property.I had the pleasure of meeting the general manager Chanel who was very friendly and accessible. I also received service from two of the housekeepers, Monette and Jenny, who were awesome and very accommodating. I can't remember the young lady's name at the front desk but she was very, very courteous and willing to meet my needs when there was a small issue. The property is off the beaten path which is a plus for me... and the rooms had balconies and a beautiful courtyard situated in the center of the hotel, very beautiful property... would recommend to friends and family.

I like the room design - big TV, comfy balcony, large drawers, desk, plenty of chargers, chairs and lamps. But we booked a 3-person room with a king and pull-out sofa and was given a king without a pullout sofa. We complained and were given the correct room but it wasn't entirely clean - the bed was made but there was used soap in the shower and a dirty glass in the nightstand. Plus there was no hairdryer. We asked housekeeping for one but never received it.
