Courtyard by Marriott Santa Monica

I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Santa Monica for my daughter’s 15th birthday, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The moment we checked in, the staff went above and beyond. Everyone was so friendly. They anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask.|The front desk supervisor who checked us in was especially great. He made sure we knew where everything was, including the elevators (which I really appreciate since that’s often overlooked). He provided local recommendations and made sure we knew the hours for the café and pool. They recognized my daughter’s birthday. It made her feel so special |The valet attendants were also super friendly and helpful every time we came and went. It’s clear that everyone here genuinely enjoys making guests feel welco

Great!! Suited our family well with a comfortable clean room, pool & hot tub, gym, laundry and good location, just a few blocks to the Santa Monica boardwalk. There’s a lot of good food options around (we had great Mexican at Tul Madra) and it was very handy to have a (small) Target less than a block away. The only drawback was the expensive parking but I think that’s probably standard in that area. Sad to see a lot of homeless people around.

All-in-all, we had a good experience at this Courtyard. It's close to many thing including the pier. The rooms were good and one of the rooms had a pier view. Beds were firm and everything worked as it should. We didn't spend too much time in the rooms because we came to visit. The only negative I have is that we reserved adjoining rooms but the hotel didn't have any available to us when we got there. They were kind to provide compensation for that inconvenience. Everyone at the front desk was helpful and accommodated our requests as best they could. A number of reviews mentioned a lot of unhoused people around the hotel. We didn't experience this and never felt unsafe.

Came from Japan to stay for 6 nights end of last year with family. Good location walking distance from Pier, and other restaurants. Rooms kept clean very spacious. Service in front desk especially Mr. Aaron was very helpful. Definitely to choose here again in our next stay.
