Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Airport

Checked in early due to long overnight flight from Asia. Location is great (less than 5 mins from SF airport). Room is clean. Bath is ok. Faucet is a bit flimsy… time to replace.

In general, the room was fine, but our experience started out really poorly because we had to wait 45 minutes outside at night with our 6 year old for the airport shuttle. Note, it's a 5 minute drive between the airport and the hotel. We called immediately as we arrived to the shuttle pick up location to let them know that we had arrived. After some time, we called multiple times to see when the airport shuttle would arrive to pick us up, and they told us that it was already on its way. So 45 minutes later we were picked up. While we were waiting to be picked up, multiple shuttles from other hotels had already done 2 pick ups. We found out later that the hotel didn't have a dedicated airport shuttle driver that night. I missed a connecting flight so I ended up staying here. The Hotel was clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. The location was a short drive to the airport, so it was convenient.

Room service tossed out my $800 medication from the bathroom counter in the middle of my stay, along with my deodorant, toothpaste, and such. They never even contacted me back after I reported it to the front desk. And that was after initially checking me into a room that wasn't cleaned. The front desk offered me "points" and free breakfast, but I'm not a member and had other plans for breakfast. I want reimbursement with real money, not discounts on future business.

Positive: Location Negative: I have stayed at Embassy Suites all over the US and I have never stayed at anything that old! I realize it’s a historical building but maybe make it more apparent that you’re going to be staying in an old building. I had no hot water for my shower even!!
