Courtyard by Marriott Richmond Berkeley

Arrived late and the Bistro was a nice place to land with did& drinks . Watched the game on a big screen & comfortable chairs. The comfort postponing going upstairs to the room. WOW what a clean room. . Everything was perfect. Then breakfast & coffee ☕️ before jumping back in the car. This was my second visit with you. Thank you

Pros: Great location, near plenty of stores and restaurants. Stayed here 4 nights, 5 days in Nov 2025. Joshua at the front desk was very welcoming and kind. Property well maintained, clean, and area felt safe. Plenty of free parking. Nice bistro. Loved the breakfast plate with eggs, well seasoned potatoes and bacon. They also make a nice breakfast sandwich. Starbucks coffee is featured at the bistro as well, tasted great. Rooms are comfortable and best of all, warm. We went during Thanksgiving so the area can be cold, was nice to come back to the warm room. Comfy beds, slept very well, nice selection of TV channels with Netflix, Prime, Youtube available as well with your login as well as local channels. Areas of improvement: Our room was not cleaned at all for the first 3 nights

Positive: Staff was courteous, professional. They moved us from assigned room to a better room no problem. Negative: Down stairs looked “Marriott” brand, upscale like I’m used to, until I got off elevator to go to room I thought I was in a time warp or at Motel 6, disappointed.

I needed to stay one night in the Richmond area and this was the only place I wanted to stay! First, I did not have a car, so I have no experience with the safety of the parking lot. Everything else about the hotel was great and just what I needed. I ate a snack from the Bistro for dinner, ate from the Bistro for breakfast, and checked out. I had no issues. I liked that the room was very clean and updated. I ironed my work clothes and had no issue with the iron. I called for more toilet paper and the staff delivered some to my door. All the staff I encountered were nice. Thanks for a great stay.

Convenient location. Reasonably clean and well maintained but a tired facility. Courtyard Richmond Berkeley is not really near Berkeley, you’re actually deep in Richmond and a solid 15 min drive north of Berkeley. If you’re staying here you’re probably looking for a reasonably priced option with good highway access and it does offer that. Facility is well-worn with musty rooms, a small gym, bar/restaurant. Rooms are cleaned well but overall the entire facility would benefit form a makeover. I noted that the elevators smelled of cigarette smoke, and given the frequent clientele for the area, that’s not too surprising. Being an older courtyard, you get very rudimentary refrigerators but even the standard non-suite rooms are pretty spacious. There have been some good appreciated renovations
