Courtyard by Marriott Melbourne West

While I enjoy Marriott Hotels for a long time I have been truly been disappointed with their recent behavior.|Having booked a non-refundable rate on the website I immediately recognized an error on booked dates I made. Within a minute I cancelled the reservation and booked again for the correct dates.|Marriot still charged me for both “stays” as I had booked a non-refundable rate. I travel a lot and all over the travel industry companies are lenient or even allow you to rebook within the hour if you made an honest mistake.|Even after several emails explaining and detailing the issue with the Customer Service they could not be convinced to extend a similar courtesy. Very, very disappointed.

Excellent hotel! Clean, comfortable, quiet, and polite and professional staff. As a frequent business traveler, Courtyard is my preferred brand and this property is consistent with my expectations. My room was clean and nicely furnished. The outdoor courtyard was well maintained and on a chilly November evening the fire pit was a treat. The staff was friendly and professional and made a great impression from my arrival to departure for business in the area. I was disappointed to hear about the changes to the bistro breakfast menu. I have consistently chosen Courtyard and have been willing to pay close to $25 for a plate of eggs, juice, and coffee. Eggs your way has been taken off, and now a breakfast sandwich, fruit cup, juice, and coffee was $34 before tax and tip ($39 total). Wow! I expe

Unbelievable !!!! The room and stay was fantastic. However, The Bartender greeting was absolutely atrocious. I walked up with a beer and she instantly said I’m not gonna serve you because you have that beer here there’s no outside food or drinks so I put it down. She said that’s not gonna work so I threw it away and asked her if that was OK and it was the biggest attitude I’ve ever seen from somebody who I would probably tip $100 plus too . It was easily avoidable. Get rid of her. I will do my best to find out her name.

Positive: location Negative: The bed was very firm; the sheets and bedspread were of less quality I expected. Wi-Fi signal was weak and the TV picture quality was poor.

I stayed here for a business trip for a night. It was very friendly cute and clean courtyard. A comfy bed but you can hear neighbors easily. My next room guests were so loud.. I went outside for a walk and to see what is around. Just location is little bit a far from everything. You will need a car to be around. Otherwise, it is great value for stay
