Avid hotel Melbourne - Viera, an IHG Hotel

Amazingly good breakfast! Freshly ground costa coffee, Minute Maid juices and very good scrambled egg. Everything fresh. The breakfast lady does an awesome job! Dove products in the bathroom. And of course, the rooms are exceptionally clean.

Hotel was fantastic. Love that there are hot beverages 247. Rooms were modern and clean. Location was great. Close to Space Coast USSSA complex. I gave the service 2 stars. Not for myself, but for another guest. When we were checking in, night front desk person was arguing with a guest. Something about the room temp. Hotel person was shouting and telling the guest to leave the premises and that he would call the police. I don't know all the details, as they had been going at it since before we got there. Bottom line is another guest should NEVER hear a Hotel employee being so nasty to a guest. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional.

Our first time staying with Avid. Ian was extremely polite when checking in and getting us situated. Ian was patient as he assisted me in getting a last minute boarding pass printed the night before my cruise. The other staff we met, including Jen, we're so friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the fresh ground coffee machine and veggie omelet for breakfast. Our room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The price was awesome and just an overall great experience. I will definitely look into staying with Avid more often.

Great experience! The location is super convenient, right off I-95, making it easy to get around. The hotel itself is modern, well-maintained, and has plenty of parking. The room had everything I needed: an iron, ironing board, plenty of hooks and hangers, and a mini-fridge – all the essentials for a business traveler like me. The bathroom was clean and modern, with great water pressure and convenient soap and shampoo dispensers (a nice touch!). Check-in was smooth, and the staff was really friendly and helpful. I was impressed with the number of TV channels (over 200!) – definitely more than I expected. Plus, there were plenty of outlets to charge my devices, and the wifi was decent too. The most modern and non functional hotel you can find. Been here before. Motors for window shades didn’t work. Had to switch rooms. This stay at least the shades are manual so they can be raised or lowered. Heat and AC don’t work. Thermostat has no control if it. Have to mess with the controls on the unit itself. Can’t read the LEDS. Can’t adjust the temperature setting. Was up all night with loud fan noise and even louder compressor when it kicked in. Usually leave on bathroom light as a night light. These turn off so no night light or you need to sleep with a room light on. Shower stall has a slick floor with no grab bars. Modern look. Very small room. Totally non functional. Up all night with the AC on a cool December night. I have no idea why it gets warm without it.
