Courtyard by Marriott Houston NW/290 Corridor

Our stay at this Courtyard by Marriott property was extremely disappointing. The room was absolutely horrible. There was a large gap under the door, so we could hear everything happening in the hallway throughout the night. There was no soundproofing at all. The room clearly had not been cleaned thoroughly. There was a cup left on the floor from a previous guest, the floor was dirty, and the bathtub had visible mold. The shower curtain had disgusting stains on it. The bathroom countertop still had hair on it, which was very unsettling and unacceptable. Overall, this experience did not meet the standards we expect from a Marriott property. I would not recommend staying here. Wish I could share the pictures here.

I frequently use this location for employees who travel to Houston for business. To do that, I'm required to have a credit card authorization on file. Upon reviewing my credit card statement, there was an unauthorized charge for several hundred dollars. I contacted the hotel and spent several days trying to resolve the issues. I was continuously told that the manager would reach out to me but I never received any communication. Every time I would call or email, I was told that I'd have to call back later. One lady finally told me that I should just dispute the charges and let the credit card company handle it. All they had to do was look up the transactions from that day, find the charge amount, and see who charged it. It's been a month and still no resolution. A business that requires a C

This location has potential. Staff was nice enough and the guys working the kitchen were really quick, but there’s a few issues. 1. I asked for room cleaning once or twice throughout my 5 night stay, they didn’t come once. 2. The gym needs more equipment, equipment cleaning and repair, towels were always out, and cleaning wipes were dried out. 3. Pool looks non-functional, or at least I didn’t want to use it. 4. Undergoing renovations which didn’t bother me, but could have been mentioned pre-arrival. 5. One elevator not working. 6. Generally dirty. The staff could really do with a task checklist to go through once or twice a day.

Positive: Ir had a refrigerator and a microwave, but the microwave was missing the glass plate that turns. Negative: The water did not drain properly in the bathtub, the pillows were not wonderful. They do not clean your rooms during your stay. No trash retrieval or taking the old towels and replenishing with bew ones. Had to request new towels from the front desk.

Severely Disappointed – Misleading & Unacceptable I booked a 3-night stay at Courtyard by Marriott Houston NW/290 Corridor for a business trip, and this was by far one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. At no point during booking, prior to arrival, or even at check-in was I notified that the entire first floor was under construction. The lobby, courtyard, and pool were completely closed. I only found out once I walked in and saw everything covered in plastic, with random construction workers going in and out of the hotel throughout the day. This felt like blatant false advertising. During my entire 3-night stay, room service never once serviced my room—no cleaning, no trash removal, nothing. To avoid going out late in an unfamiliar area, I ordered a burger and fries
