Courtyard by Marriott Durham Near Duke University/Downtown

We stay here a lot as it is very close to Duke and it is a good value. The staff is excellent and always friendly and helpful. We got in early for an event and the front desk allowed us to check in early which was a huge help! The beds are comfortable. My hope is that the bathrooms are updated soon which I feel would make a big difference. Also, the would be great if the cafe was open more often.

I arrived for my stay after a long drive and Tianna at the front desk was super welcoming and accommodating. She was so kind and made sure the room was good when I came back down to the lobby. At the bistro Dominic was super quick, kind, and helpful as well. He delivered our food to the table and made sure we had everything we needed for our meal. The lobby of this hotel was decorated for Christmas and it even included a hot chocolate bar. For service. I would give this hotel 5 stars as their staff was extremely helpful and kind. This hotel was a perfect stop on my road trip, I would definitely stay here again.

Visited family nearby in Croasdaile. This hotel is in a great location just off exit 174B/I85. Close to everything you need. On cleanliness they get an A+. They are pet friendly and provide pet snacks in the lobby. The decor is modern, colorful and quite cozy with a fireplace in the lobby as well as an outdoor fire pit. In town recently on my return , recommendation visit and they booted our reservation while in town for a funeral. They gave the room to members of a lacrosse team in town despite having a reservation. I removed my 4 stars to a 1. The bed was very comfortable and the TV service was satisfactory in my opinion , providing a broad range of channels including Showtime. The shower was incredible! Older hotel in need of some remodeling. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. There’s a tub shower and small sink counter in the bathroom and toilet sits really low. Stains on the carpet in elevators and hallways. Breakfast food at the bistro was greasy. Checking in was fast and pleasant.
