Courtyard by Marriott Culver City Los Angeles

I recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Culver City and had an excellent experience from start to finish. Check-in was quick and easy, thanks to Adrian at the front desk. He kindly asked for my Marriott Bonvoy number and even helped me locate it in my app so he could link it to my reservation. He also pointed out the dining area and guided me toward the elevators, which I really appreciated.|Speaking of the elevators, I was informed during check-in that they were being updated during my stay. It was thoughtful of the staff to let me know ahead of time, it helped me plan accordingly, and giving myself a little extra time worked out perfectly. Stayed here for four months for work. The staff was amazing, front desk attendants were nice and helpful, and house keeping was great. I didn’t like the lighting of the hotel and rooms because it always felt dark. Also there is a daily fee for parking, no free breakfast, and the restaurant that was in the lobby was priced pretty high. Maintenance wasn’t responsive when I had low water pressure from the sink for months, and then a water leak under the sink, and then 2 of their elevators being out of service for weeks. Also I’ve been checked out for over a month now and haven’t received my deposit back and accounting never answers the phone.

They saved us. We were at a different hotel that had moldy air. Courtyard, got us two rooms near each other within an hour and made us feel welcome. Great care and service. Restaurant in the lobby is quite good. Epic fries & cheesecake.

Positive: Every staff member I spoke to was so friendly and nice and made me feel welcome. There was lots of space to store my toiletries in the bathroom. I liked being able to refill my water bottle from the cooler in the hall. Negative: ""

The main reason for the low rating is that during the length of my stay, out of the three elevators for this twelve story hotel, only one was functioning. The staff were incredibly polite and apologetic, about this, but we were never given more than printouts saying that two of the elevators were out of order. I heard work being done on them during the long wait times to get up to my room; however, the front desk appeared to be just as uninformed as we were as to any progress being made. The food at the bar was quite tasty. I only had breakfast once, and in my opinion, it for the cost, it is not a good deal. The lunch/dinner menu on the other hand has a wide array of options and everything I had, especially the cheesecake, was a very good value for the money. The room was very nice. It w
