Courtyard by Marriott Columbus Downtown

I was pleasantly surprised by how architecturally pretty this hotel was. Our room was unlike any room I had ever stayed in in that it had steps that went up to a seating area that overlooked downtown, and it was very large and spacious. We were on the second floor, and I was struck by how quiet it was in the hotel itself, although there were a lot of people there, and from the street noise outside (which I expected there to be a lot more of). All staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and looked like they were actually happy to be there. The beds were very comfortable. My only suggestions for improvement are these: they need larger tv’s in the rooms (the rooms are too big to be able to easily see the TV at the size they are), they need better breakfast choices in the restaurant, an

we travelled from canada and the staff made us feel so welcomed and like it was our home away from home. we had zero issues and everything was clean and absolutely lovely. i truly cannot say enough good things about the staff, so sweet, friendly and helpful and kept wishing us a happy anniversary which i appreciate that they remembered. the amenities are great, in walking distance of lots of things and only short drives to many other things. you feel safe and taken care of. very highly recommend ❤️

Very convenient stay , valet was 40 a day but I couldn’t request my car out for some reason it said it was drove out. The employees are a pleasure. The hotel does smell like cigarettes and it’s very dim in the rooms. Affordable though. Nationwide arena about 5 mins walk . Got my car from valet basically parked in the street

Positives about this property. The staff was lovely and accommodating, the bathroom had been nicely updated, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. That said, the rooms barely resemble those shown on the website. They are dingy, outdated, dark and worn. I was shown four different rooms by the lovely front desk agent and they were all terribly in need of an update. The one tiny window was filthy. The lobby is shabby. But for me the real problem was that the hotel smelled bad. The room I stayed in smelled dank. I stayed two nights and the smell never dissipated. Even the lobby and the elevators smelled bad.

I stayed here with my friends for galaxy con 2025. They were amazing! The guy who checked us in was such a sweetheart, and they were absolutely lovely when it came to helping us get our bags to the room(and we had a ton). They helped us find good places to eat and were super helpful when we asked for extra makeup wipes. They held our bags after we had checked out so we would be able to go to con without having to get a locker. When we went to the pool area there was a nice man on duty who operated the hot tub for us even though he was off duty. The people here are amazing, the location is great, the place is spotless, in a great location for restaurants and experiences. Will definitely be staying here each time we go to the greater Columbus convention center!
