Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Downtown/River North

As a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, I’ve stayed at a lot of properties, but the Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Downtown/River North is consistently my top choice. This was my third time staying here for business, and they never disappoint. The convenience of this hotel is unbeatable. It’s just a short walk to Michigan Avenue, which makes balancing work and the best of Chicago’s dining and shopping incredibly easy. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient as always. I particularly appreciated them providing bottled water for all three of my rooms—a thoughtful touch that really adds to the experience. A special shout-out to Jason for the exceptional service! Staff was great — I should’ve canceled the reservation when I received two emails stating there was construction. Call me naive, but I assumed it would be done during the day as the email stated. I was in room 925 and two doors down were several industrial fans that ran 24x7 during my stay. Great location, but that was about it.

Positive: The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed at the Chicago River North location. Negative: The A/C kept turning off in our room. We had to have maintenance come twice to fix and reset the thermostat. Overall I feel for the price of our room we could have stayed somewhere nicer.

Oh my goodness I had such a wonderful stay! The whole staff was friendly and accommodating but Davion and Latonya who took care of my mom and I when we first arrived, were the ones to see the tone, they were so pleasant, the hospitality was through the roof! I had a really nice room with a beautiful view. We loved it so much we’re planning a trip back! Thank you for the wonderful service.

The rooms are so big and the bed is super comfy, I am having the best sleep. The location is perfect and everyone who works here are lovely. A big plus (for me who is staying for just over 2 weeks) the deposit for incidentals is for per visit and not per night (unlike other hotels...).
