Courtyard by Marriott Carolina Beach Oceanfront

Marriott Review||I travel a lot and stay in pretty nice hotels. Marriott was always in my top 3 but after this trip, completely dropped from my list. Before I get into the hotel, I must say the staff is super friendly, helpful, & cordial. I enjoyed them immensely, unfortunately…not the same can be said for my stay. Upon walking into my room my shoe almost stuck to the floor due to some sticky substance that was on the floor. The staff immediately sent someone up to clean it but why was it there in the first place? This IS supposed to be the Marriott & not Motel 6 right? Next, I open the fridge to store my drinks & the shelves have puddles of water on them? I disregarded this because I’m tired & just got in. As I’m watching tv, I pull this table tray next to me to put my food on. It’s rusty

Positive: It was clean. The most important part. Hotel employee was very helpful. Negative: Bistro sandwich over microwaved so bread was hard

Great location and great staff! They were very communicative through the app during my visit. It is currently under some renovations but there was no impact to anything during my visit. Love's the suite upgrade and the views are top notch. Only 2 issues I had: there were 2 shampoos and a conditioner on the wall but no body wash. Didn't realize this until I was already washing off. The other is the bedroom thermostat is locked or something. Wouldn't cool down for anything. Living area thermostat worked great. I believe it is locked like the Fairfield I stayed at the night before. Plenty to do within walking distance. Boardwalk is right outside. Great place to stay!

Hotel is under renovation but work didn't cause any issues. Stayed in an updated room on 5th floor. Clean and comfortable. Plenty of room even with two queen beds. Balcony furniture is much better style and quality than the basic plastic chairs they used to have. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location. Only downside is that the sliding glass door and windows are cloudy. Have to open door to clearly see out. Funny moment when a pigeon decided to come in. Lol.

Alley one of the supervisors at the front desk was beyond helpful. She’s a great multitasker. My friend and I both were having some health issues. She was kind enough to take a cart out to our cart and unpack our cart and take our things to the room. I had a medical issue while there and she was so helpful and on top of things. I can’t thank her enough. It’s a Beautiful resort with clean rooms and a gorgeous view of the Ocean. I highly recomrnend this resort.
