Courtyard by Marriott Baton Rouge South

Came in for family party a few weeks ago, stay was great and the staff! We arrived late Crystal was great at check in, beds in the room were comfortable, Room was very clean. I would definitely stay here again! Helen at the bistro was also good. Staff were phenomenal again! No issues whatsoever for me and my family!

Positive: Didn't like the hotel at all Negative: in experienced staff, furniture in room not clean, bathroom a 3, just not a clean place.

I traveled down to Baton Rouge with my 4 year old son and my sister to visit our nephew in college. As a Silver Elite member, I frequent Marriotts often, it is actually my chain of choice. Unfortunately, this by far, was the worst experience I have ever had at a Marriott. First, I booked this location specifically for the heated, indoor pool. There were other Marriotts within the area that were less expensive, however because I traveled with a 4 year old who loves swimming, I chose this one. To my dismay, the pool was out of order! I feel like that should be mentioned at booking, so that consumers have the option to shop elsewhere if that is an amenity that they are expecting. So, no swimming for the weekend which resulted in a toddler meltdown that I would have loved to do without. Then,

Absolutely trash experience!!! This hotel and its management could all use upgrades. This was one of the most uncomfortable experiences ever. Don’t expect to sleep comfortably. Broken shower, bugs, broken toilet seat…the list goes on.

My husband and I stayed here. The room we received wasn't what we expected. We went back to the front desk and asked for a better room. Crystal at the front desk was very friendly and understanding. She upgraded our room with no issues. The room was very clean and comfortable! We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back! Thank you for the accommodations!
