Courtyard by Marriott Baton Rouge Acadian Centre/LSU Area

Checking in and out was a smooth and quick process. Rooms were cozy with a nice balcony and very clean bathrooms. Food was delicious at the bistro. Wish I would’ve gotten the housekeepers’ names, they were so sweet! Even gave one of the workers some balloons for her daughter, lol! And the steakhouse was within walking distance, great good there as well. 🤣💕It was a great stay for valentine’s and we will be back!

I was required to visit LSU on business for four weeks out of six in January and February of '25. Having several Marriott branded choices within 15 minutes of LSU, I considered the Marriott Baton Rouge, the Courtyard Downtown, and the TownePlace Suites in Port Allen (an excellent property at which I've stayed while driving through the area, but a tough location for LSU due to morning traffic over the Mississippi River Bridge).||I am so glad that I chose the Courtyard Acadian Centre. This is an older styled Courtyard hotel, the ones with an actual courtyard and balconies, which I prefer. The condition of the property was excellent and very clean. First, I want to compliment the front desk staff, who were welcoming, and really made us feel at home. The accommodations are very nice and the room was clean. Our courtyard facing room was quiet, despite the nearby Interstate highway and train tracks. The hotel shares a parking lot with an Outback Steakhouse, so dinner was just steps away. Breakfast is served in the cafe in the lobby area. The courtyard is very nice with various little "conversation pits" around the pool, and little table and chair areas if you want to have an outdoor meal during those very brief periods of tolerable temperature we have in Southeast Louisiana. Our only complaint is the bed is a little too firm

Positive: Great Location and price. Quiet. Clean. Well maintained property with nice staff. Negative: Rooms are a bit small and outdated. Especially the bathroom. Housekeeping does not speak English and did not service the room during stay.

The staff is exceptional!! Kennedi checked us in and was delightful, Courtney was kind, helpful & taught us alittle local culture. Kelly was overly helpful with a technology issue with my Kindle and the wi-fi. Everyone was friendly and concerned about our happiness/satisfaction. The Bistro for breakfast was great made to order food with a variety of options including latte’s etc. this was unexpected and I hope that the other Marriott properties will consider having the bistro made to order option. Thank you Marriott Acadian for a great stay, I rate you a 10!
