Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Pensacola West, FL

This was a nice stay. We were gone a lot throughout our stay, but we have no complaints. Room was nice, the only problem we had was the drawers would open on their own, but hey that was alright with me.

I called to make my reservation and was told there would be a $100 refundable deposit put on my card. When I arrived, I was told I needed a $200 cash refundable deposit instead because I was local. I was not told this when I made my reservation. Other than no hot water when we checked in, everything else was fine, but beware, locals have to pay a $200 refundable cash deposit, not a big deal, but it would have been better if I was prepared for that.

After having an extremely negative experience at another hotel, this room felt like 5-star luxury. Breakfast was hot, employees were friendly, and room was extremely clean. Beds were comfortable as well! Staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

The room was nice and clean however we were out of shampoo after the 2nd day. Housekeeping knocked on our door while we were getting ready to go out so I asked that they come back and that we're were leaving soon. She agreed to come back and bring towel and after a few hours our room was still not cleaned. We decided to leave for lunch in case they came to clean and when we got back only 1 of the bed was made. They took the trash out but didnt put any new bags in and also there was no other sign of cleaning. The toilet, tub, floors were left as is. This is after I had done my best to straighten up the room to make their cleaning easier. Basically they just made one bed and replaced towels. I was so disappointed. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was hot and varied slightly day-to-day. The front desk was easily able to fulfill my request to extend my stay when needed. There was some remodeling during my stay and it interrupted some of my sleep during the day since I was working 3rd shift, but I understand this was just a matter of overall timing and does not reflect anything bad about the hotel itself.
