Country Inn-Giddings

One of the worst places ive stayed! Rooms were filty, the bed had fleas in it. The room itself smelled like an old astray...and i had the non-smoking room. Bedsheets had several holes from cigarette burns, A/C was noisy and really dirty. Parking is a nightmare. You can easily smell peoples "recreational" bad habits staying next to or above you. You have to tape up the seams around the door to keep unwanted bugs out of your room. But the real kicker, the motel itself is right next to some train tracks and trains are running all hours of the day AND night and vibrates and shakes the room...you will not get a good nights sleep! You get what you pay for.

Roaches are everywhere!! They didn't say they will try to clean it up.

One of the suckiest hotels I’ve ever seen.There was dead bugs, dust everywhere, stains on the sheets, pillows, walls, door, bathtub. The hand sink drain was broken. Only had a conditioner n a bar of soap, oh yeah the toilet paper was basically empty. I do not recommend. The staff gave me the creeps.

I stayed for 3 weeks in a recently renovated room. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets & pillows were clean, and smelled clean. The water was hot and the pressure was great. The room was cleaned every few days and they left fresh, clean towels, took out the trash and swept the floor (no complaints!). They offered to do it everyday but there was no need because it was just me. They sprayed every week for insects and I never saw any roaches or spiders. The air conditioner performed flawlessly set at 69 - 70 F for 3 weeks which is a requirement in South Central Texas. The WI-FI signal was strong and the Phillips Roku TV worked very well…. they even had dish network with premium channels. There is an amazing restaurant just a few blocks away called Reba’s…the salads are awesome. SUMMARY:

Quaint smaller motel. First room didn't appear to be updated and was a little dirty, which I get a lot because I only stay in smoking room. TV didn't work. They were quick to move us to another room. Next room was really nice. Bed was really comfy. Will be staying here again.
