Best Western Giddings Inn & Suites

They treat you like a criminal here. Won't even let you walk into the building unless you call for permission and God forbid you forget your key in your room. I've included a photo of what they have on the doors 100% won't recommend this and will be telling my hotel lady to get elsewhere next time for me and all my employees

WiFi is so bad. But that’s not why I’m leaving a review. ||You cannot even get into the lobby without a key. Which would be fine if there was someone at the front desk. 20 minutes waiting to get in. There has to be a better way to handle security.||It doesn’t seem to be a high risk area. If lobby is locked, there should be someone at the front desk, or at least a doorbell or something

Worst Western! Our room smelled terrible and was very damp. Like the AC had been left off for weeks. The sheets were damp to the touch. No like "freshly cleaned and changed" damp, either. I told the front desk my card didn't work and what room number I was in and they just handed me a new card. So, if you want to get a key to any room, just tell them. They won't ask questions or check your ID. You don't serve your own breakfast. There was a lady there who blocked me from shopping the breakfast options and asked if she could help me while she was having a conversation with guests at another table, and then ignored me for several minutes while she continued her conversation. The beds are very comfortable. Nice TV. Our sink was slow to drain as another review said. I guess we got the same room😁. The hallways are dark and it’s creepy. The breakfast was just what you’d expect from a free hotel breakfast.

It was very nice with clean rooms. The breakfast buffet was standard but decent.
