Coral Reef Resort by Palmera

Exchanged into this resort for the first time. Our two level unit met our needs for a family of five. Location was excellent in a quiet gated community nearby many amenities. We had warm, dry weather for much of our trip and were able to rent bikes and play the Shipyard golf course. Enjoyed the game room at the Coral Sands main building on Pope Ave.

We were placed in a older, area called the Cottages, they were in serious need of TLC. Doors missing screws, railings cracked, paint peeling. We were of course sucked into a 30-45 min meeting that turned into 3 hours. 😮😔 Where in Coral Reef are you? Not they placed us in The Cottages. I then showed pictures to agent, and was informed, ohhhh, that isn't part of Palmera 😮🤔 how'd we get there then? Were we moved? No! Why🙅🏽‍♀️ IDK. Myself, am a 100% disabled Marine Veteran, my wife is 64, and My Mother in law, is 82, and has had foot surgery and 2 knee replacements, and has to use a walker, I get by with braces and a cane. We had 5, steps up to the porch, to get to the door! We gave her the down stairs bedroom and, Is, and grandson we have custody of had, 18 stairs to second floor bedrooms. We

Great location. We stayed in a 2 bedroom with 2 1/2 baths, balcony with table and chairs. We enjoyed the hot tub. Also used the complimentary bikes for| wheels of fun - road to the beach bought stopped at the Salty Dog, took a cooking demonstration class, saw the sunset while sipping on cocktails as Skulls Creek Boathouse, took a golf lesson, trail ride and sunset dolphin cruise…

We had extended family together for a week at Coral Reef and throughly enjoyed our accommodations and location. It’s a spacious townhouse and nestled next to a little creek. There are so many types of birds, big and small. We also saw a lot of turtles that would swim toward us to be fed bread. The area is perfect for biking and bikes were delivered to our door and picked up. The private beach entrance is a pretty short drive within the resort and has a little snack/drink bar and great showers for after the sand. The kitchen had all the basics and we never heard our neighbors once.

Nice resort, clean rooms and well maintained inside and out. However the inside of the rental is somewhat dated but clean. Great location. I would be fine with a return stay.
