Comfort Suites Savannah Gateway I-95

I booked Comfort Inn & Suites Savannah Airport (Gateway location) back in December when we knew we’d be traveling to Savannah, and I was thrilled to lock in a Valentine’s Day rate around $120 — especially that close to the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. If you’re flying in or out of SAV, this location is incredibly convenient — about 20 minutes from the airport, easy access, and stress-free after a long travel day. Check-in was smooth and welcoming. The front desk associate went above and beyond — clearly explaining the Wi-Fi password, breakfast hours, and hotel amenities without me having to ask. That kind of proactive hospitality matters. Excellent location of I-95. Outside hotel very policed and orderly with clean and spacious parking. Room very up to date with comfortable bed and well maintained with everything in workable condition. Nights were very quiet and we felt safe. Breakfast was outstanding with a variety of food. Hotel lobby and dinning areas were super clean and orderly. All staff members were very polite and knowledgeable. Definitely will stay again.

Cockroaches in room. Lack of communication among staff. No safe in room as stated. No security, no lights on around the pool until a couple of hours after dark. Snack bar wasn't very stocked. We were stranded at the hotel because high water blocking the exits. There was no communication about the emergency. Elevator buttons stuck and didn't work sometimes. Room keys were constantly having to be reprogrammed. I organized a small group - 8 rooms - for a get together and was never so embarrassed with a hotel choice. The General Manager tried to upcharge us and ended locking us out of the conference room after we paid for several days. We asked the front desk before we did any eating, decorating or leaving items in the room and they were fine with everything we were doing. BAD EXPERIENCE.

Very nice looking hotel. Check in space very up scale. Breakfast is subpar compared to other Comfort hotels. No eggs or bacon offered just link sausage. One of two waffle makers poorly maintained, waffle have to be torn out of waffle maker. Attendant not visible thus items like butter are always out. Coffee is good. Overall nice place to sleep but not eat I do like the always available fruit infused iced water in the lobby. Coffee is also always available in lobby.

We stayed at the Comfort Suites on a return trip to Florida. After driving 13 hours, we were exhausted. The hotel was located in a great spot off I95 South. It was busy with many travelers checking in at the time we arrived but we booked through a 3rd party site, so check in was easy. Our room was great. King size bed was comfortable, the room clean and the bathroom was clean and stocked with fresh linens. We were passing through town to get to our final destination, so it was just what we needed.
