Comfort Suites San Antonio Ft. Sam Houston/SAMMC Area

BLUF: Nice presentation for a value brand. I’ll start by saying I usually stay at Marriott properties, so this wouldn’t have been my first choice—but I adjusted my expectations accordingly. Pulling up, I was pleasantly surprised: the hotel looks newer and/or well maintained, and when I arrived around 7pm there was plenty of parking with multiple entrances. Unfortunately, the check-in experience went the opposite direction. It’s rare that I check into a hotel and feel like I’m inconveniencing the front desk clerk, but that was the vibe here. The process took around 15 minutes and the overall demeanor was very “meh,” which immediately reminded me why I stick to a consistent brand when I can. Wonderful! Clean! Quiet hallways and elevator!!! Good breakfast and clean dining area. We did had 2 bath towels that were scratchy but for the rest of the week they were soft. So I’m sure we could have asked to swap out. They did give us fresh towels each day. We were traveling with a large group and the GM was so nice to make sure no one left anything in the rooms.

We had a great overnight stay at this Comfort Suites location. The room was clean and comfortable, and check-in was quick and seamless. There was ample parking available, and the presence of a security guard in the lot added an extra sense of safety. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options that were well stocked and fresh.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Got the best sleep while I was there. There was a lady at the front desk can’t remember her name.but She was so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend I will definitely be staying here again if I’m in the area.

We've traveled as a family to several places over the years with our young boys. This place has definitely been the best bang for our buck. Rooms are nice size and clean and modern for the price. Most places with this sort of amenities would normally cost a lot more. The rooms A.C. was good and cold, everything worked and the bathrooms/ shower were great. Large screen television The daily breakfast bar was good and the kitchen area was good to go and squared away. It's really a nice hotel for families. Nice small pool outside. I'd recommend it to all my friends.
