Comfort Suites Minot South

This hotel is quite run down and in need of many updates/repairs. The shower was broken in our room, so a bath was our only option. There were light stains/marks on the comforters. Many paint chips on the walls and scratches in the furniture. We didn't use the pool, but that, too, looked neglected with much rust showing on the stairs for the slides. The front desk staff was friendly and pleasant, so that is good.

Positive: The pool. Negative: The room was messy, the beds were disgusting as there was stains all over them. Papers from good only knows when. It was gross. And the pool water that accumulates while ppl are swimming is the grosses thing ever. That needs to be fixed

We hosted my ten-year-old daughter's birthday party here on the 24th. The party package was very affordable and we had a TON of kids come. Our rooms were clean and very large, and the front desk staff was phenomenal. Do know, though, that they use a LOT of chlorine in their pool, so if you're sensitive to that, it might be a problem!

UPDATE: Spoke with Jonathon the manager and he was very open to hearing our frustrations and was very pleasant and personable. I have high hopes he will get things rectified and we will have to come back and hopefully have a more pleasant interaction with day staff. The property itself is good with clean rooms and lobby. The breakfast is okay, but what you expect for a free breakfast. Here’s my issue: Chino & Ally at the front desk are very personable and really great at their job. Destiny and Holly on the other hand are cold, rude and condescending toward guests. We had arrived to Minot around 1:30pm and stopped by the hotel to check in, Destiny was cold and told us sharply they were sold out and NO rooms were clean at that time and to come back after 3pm when check in is supposed to be

My room was pretty gross. My blanket has holes and rips all over it. The air conditioner has sticky substances all over it. The phone was not connected to the wall or plugged in. There were also hairs in the shower. Lastly there were holes in the curtains. Overall I am not happy with the room and felt uncomfortable during my stay.
