Candlewood Suites Minot by IHG

This hotel was ok. Comfortable beds and good shower pressure. The service was very good. The only negative was the water from the bottle fill in the gym did not taste good at all. I'd stay here again.

Just stayed in a Candlewood that was great. This is one to avoid. It needs serious renovations. Door locks that fail, TVs that require resets, showers with minimal water flow but maximum slipping risk, no coffeemaker, no laundry—but for some reason that have a huge DVD library, just nothing to play them on. Whoever owns this franchises hotel needs to invest or sell, NOW.

The overall facility was clean even though it appears to be going under renovation. No smell of marijuana as others mentioned. The room was large, clean, only complaint for the room was the ice maker did not work and there is not an ice machine in the building. |Taylor was super friendly and very helpful with check in and making sure we had a place to park our truck and trailer. The bed was comfy as well. Overall very happy with our stay and would stay again.

Having read the reviews, you cannot believe this is same hotel. My ill wife and I stayed here many times in the past three years. Have stayed in many hotels from Rochester to Grand Forks, Fargo to Bismarck and Minot. My wife is fussy about cleanliness. Have even transfered to other rooms in other hotels. At the end, whenever in Minot, she chose Candlewood suites. We chose rooms partially handicapped accessible and only twice could not get one out of fifteen or more stays. Might be new owners, I don't know, but the hotel is now great. New carpets though out, new chairs to replace the worn out ones. Extensive remodeling of rooms going on floor to ceiling. Not bad at all. I will say the internet was not the greatest, small tv; staff is super friendly. -edit—the way my card was charged challenged my mental stability! Hard to expense this stay due to them splitting the charges all strange. Not to mention they charged my card like 5 different times for separated out for a 7 night stay
