Comfort Suites Mattoon East

I stayed here for a sports tournament and had a great experience. The property was clean, and the staff were consistently friendly. Although I encountered a frustrating double-charging issue, the night shift attendant was incredibly helpful and did everything possible to resolve the situation. The pool and hot tub were pristine and—best of all—opened at 6:00 AM! I would definitely stay here again.

We stay at this Comfort Suites every Thanksgiving. It works for our family. The breakfast offered is good. Our only disappointment is that I reserved a room that had the larger seating area with 2 TVs but wasn't given one. My sister was traveling with us and had her own room nearby so I didn't complain since our rooms were near each other.

Enjoyed our stayed at this location very much. The comfort of the mattress was very nice! We both had a good night sleep. The room was very clean and same with the bathroom. Continental bereakfast was good the next day also. Employees were friendly and helpful.

Positive: The hotel and staff itself was fine. The city where it is located in (Mattoon) was the problem. At the time I stay, city's water supply was contaminated with poisonous algi where using the water was not recommended. Felt like I was stuck in hell. Negative: The hotel could have called their guests who had reservations & warned them about the water contamination issue which would gave given me the option to stay somewhere else where I could eat, drink the water, bathe. Places to eat near hotel was closed.

Everything was great, the room was clean and well finished. Due to a winter storm, we were able to leave a day early without cost. Breakfast was good, but I don't like having to share the milk, since it's in a gallon jug. Other than that, we will stay there again.
