Comfort Suites Hattiesburg near University

I am extremely disappointed with my stay. I paid $240 for this room, and while management offered a 25% discount, that does not justify the condition of the room or the overall experience. The room was clearly not properly maintained. The walls had visible damage and peeling paint. The outlet cover was outdated and partially broken. There was noticeable rust and chipping around the door frames and baseboards. The tile flooring had visible dirt buildup in the corners. The bathtub had a stained area that looked unclean and unsanitary. The window area showed damage and patchwork repairs. Even the smoke detector appeared improperly installed and hanging from the ceiling, which raised safety concerns. For a room at this price point, basic cleanliness, upkeep, and safety should not be question

I will start off with the positives. The location was good, it was close to everything we needed. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were friendly. Now, the negatives. We paid extra for a suite with a whirlpool, however there was no stopper so we couldn’t even utilize it. Just that alone will make me not stay there again. Also, there’s not enough parking. We were lucky enough to find one person leaving, otherwise we would have had to park at a neighboring hotel.

I am a corporate lodging business traveler. I stay at this hotel a couple of nights a week. I stay here over other options because Yogi Patel always takes good care of me, puts me in the same room, takes care of all my paperwork efficiently. The breakfast is good. The hotel is clean and is in a convenient location. I highly recommend it. I could stay other places, but Yogi keeps me coming back. The man needs a raise!

This hotel seems to have been updated to the brighter look that many Comfort Inns and moving to. It is conveniently located and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The only negative was thd poor workmanship around the tub. Whoever installed the new walls and tiles did a poor job of grout/caulking. The tub could also use a non slip mat for safety.

Nice location and decent service, but there are much nicer hotels nearby after a bit more research. When we checked in, we were given no info about breakfast, internet, etc. The beds were comfortable, but the highway nearby is loud. The shower was small and gross, the water pressure bad, and the sink and shower were both missing their stoppers. The breakfast lacked compared to most hotels, but the lobby was nice, and so was the staff working breakfast.
