Hampton Inn by Hilton Hattiesburg

Military & Government Travelers avoid this property! I stayed at this hotel while traveling on official government assignment. My assignment was unexpectedly canceled on the final day, forcing a change in departure timing. I checked out approximately 30 minutes past the posted checkout time. All of my luggage had already been removed from the room and I was in the process of leaving the property. Despite this, the manager refused any flexibility and charged me for an additional full night. I contacted Hilton corporate customer service and was advised that the decision was entirely at the discretion of the individual property’s management and ownership. We didn't use the shower because we arrived at one in the morning and left at 8am so I can't comment on water pressure for shower, but the bathroom had plenty of towels and shampoo, body wash lotion etc.. The room is large and the bed was very comfortable. They had plenty of pillows on the beds and an extra blanket in the closet. Ac worked great. Don't skip the breakfast! It's awesome! They had so many options and everything was so good. The sausage was smoked sausage like we eat in Louisiana! The lady at the front desk told me their kitchen manager actually goes herself to Sam's to buy it for the hotel. They had the good sausage gravy, big biscuits and chicken fried steak and make your own waffles even with chocolate chips and whip cream if you want it and a lot more! The whole hotel sme

What a pleasant surprise to stay at the Hampton Inn in Hattiesburg. We have stayed in many Hamptons over the years but especially during lots of traveling in the last 3 months . The staff were everything you'd expect from southern hospitality. A+ ... The breakfast was absolutely the best we have had anywhere hands down . The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. I met with a childhood friend here and we had a lovely area to catch up on life . .I think this should be the flagship hotel for the Hampton Inns to learn how its done. Unfortunately we have seen a huge decline in the quality of the Hampton Inns in recent years ..

Positive: The bed was comfortable and the room was dark. Negative: The television was off to the side of the bed. As a result viewing was difficult.

I stay here at this hotel every time I am in the area. I can't really put it into words but for me anytime I walk into the building, I feel so welcomed. Breakfast is great and Front Desk staff has been nothing but amazing and so nice to me every single time. Will be back for sure.
