Best Western Plus University Inn

Great price, great location. Wasn't the one who booked but stayed with my cousin who did. Happy to sa she picked a great hotel! The lady who checked us in and was there thru the night was the sweetest, lady with the cutest southern accent lol. I think her name was Mel or Melanie? Or something else with a M like that. We'd book again just to talk to her! 🤣 ( If we ever come back to the south anyway! Thanks for the comfy night sleep!

We slept an hour longer than usual because the bed and room was so comfortable! The ventilation system worked well - none of that clanging and constantly shifting temps like in some other places. It was super clean. The man at check in and the breakfast staff, and housekeeping all were very pleasant. We got a last minute deal booked directly with their website, but I suspect any day of the year that this hotel will offer better value than anything nearby. I would definitely drive a few more miles to make it to this place if you are on the road, or stay here longer to enjoy the nearby southern hospitality.

Positive: Price. Negative: Condition was poor and this looked like a room that has been er been renovated. Shower door broken, old caulk splotched everywhere, damaged deesser

No handsoap in toilet to wash after using it. Was told by 2 different people that one has to use the body wash in the shower. REALLY! HOW UNSANITARY!!! "I gave my staff lysol to spray and kill the germs in the bathroom." I'll wager they don't kill c diff and e coli. Electrical outlet didn't work. No phone hookup in room to call desk. Lighting everywhere dim and dark but cutsie. Loud at night and early in am. I only have 3 requirements: safe, clean, quiet. Did not meet my needs.

no clue how this hotel could possibly be rated 4 stars. ROACHES, overwhelming smell of mildew and moisture and mold and rotting floors on the third floor. just a new smell at every turn, truly. housekeeping left my door open after cleaning (it didn’t fully latch upon closing), and room key deactivated every day. Literally the worst hotel I’ve ever been to in my life
