Comfort Suites Beachfront

I came in with modest expectations, but this Comfort Suites really impressed me. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, but the real standout was the breakfast. It was easily the best I’ve had in this class of hotel. Chris, one of the breakfast attendants, mentioned that the potatoes were made from his grandmother’s recipe, and they were genuinely special. That personal touch made the whole stay memorable.

Ideal location, fabulous views, clean and comfortable room (although the pillows are plentiful but a little chunky for my liking), friendly staff. hopefully there are other rooms that are fully handicap accessible. Parking garage not for very tall vehicles! Not an issue for me though. The room would be less comfortable for a very large/wide person, as there are several narrow walkways or sharp turns, but the design of the room works fine for me. I'm just mindful that if I were larger, some parts of it would be pretty difficult to maneuver within. For a short and slightly overweight person like me, everything is fine except that I have to climb on a chair to reach the light switch ABOVE the TV in the main living/dining area. Several creative design choices make me scratch my head about this

The lobby area is VERY smelly of stale cigarette smoke. The rooms were clean enough but were extremely dated. The door to the balcony was hard to open because of the lock. The location is perfect and convenient to everything. The bedroom was very tight so little room for luggage. Parking was easy and plentiful. Breakfast didn't start until 7, so was too late to take advantage of...that was my main issue.

While we enjoyed our stay, the building is dated and could use some refreshing. However, the mattress was extremely comfortable. A huge complement to Vicki and Chris in the Breakfast room. The eggs were excellent and Chris is such a happy man. He made our breakfast very enjoyable. He is an asset to this hotel.

I would give this hotel 5'stars due to the super upbeat breakfast buffet staff, Chris &: Vicki who are really great people & great at keeping everything going smoothly. Chris goes above & beyond trying to make people feel welcome, without being intrusive, I could tell from the start he took ownership of his job & really took pride in his contribution, that is kind of a rarity, these days. My only reason for the 4'stars is that we were called & told by the front desk clerk that out room was available ( we got in town early), when we got there, there were no sheets on the bed. The phone didn't work either to call, so my husband had to go downstairs to inform them that we needed sheets.
