Comfort Suites Baton Rouge South I-10

Reservation system was being updated and would not completely process my request. Thus, call to hotel front desk was made; rate from Reservation system was honored, though the room (240) given was 2-queens vice 1 king. Room: Comfortable, clean and neat; however, initial view from the door was of wooden pieces of furniture with peeling paint and a cracked wall corner - not a good impression. Overall, walls looked nice and furniture was comfortable; however, there was no chair for the desk. Only 1 of the 4 lights between the beds was functional. Bathroom door was very hard to close and the 1 working light in the bathroom was on what would normally be the 'heater' light timer; relatively new tub insert was lifting away from the wall in one corner. The first room, the carpets were damp, musty, stinky paint, chipping Missing baseboards Asked to be moved second room was slightly better. Nightstand, paint chipping all over the place. The shower curtain did not reach all the way down, so the water just floated onto the floor, where the baseboards were all swollen from that happening. Very poor maintenance would not recommend choose a different hotel different location we were traveling it was late. We just needed to spend one night so we roughed it through.

This hotel was once very nice but is now probably a shelter for homeless people. My room was functional but "the breakfast guy" didn't show up so there was no comp breakfast. The whole place seems like it has been all but abandoned by the owners. I would not have given it two stars except that my room was OK. But I would avoid this place

Cheap. The rooms offer a little kitchen area which was nice for the prices, however the rooms are very outdated and need a good clean. The walls are patched up and the paint is peeling. The windows are nasty and very old and leak. The lights outside shine into the rooms because the curtains don’t cover them. The only perk was the water pressure. Breakfast was very disappointing. Some random stuff thrown into bins. The ground crew was very nice. The pool area had lights floating around still plugged in. The outside is very outdated and there are cockroaches on the steps. You have to walk all over to find a working ice maker. People leave their nasty used towels all over the outside of their rooms. We always stay there because of it being conveniently located close to the mall. The employees are always nice. Seems like we have problems with the rooms every time. This one the smoke alarm beeped every few minutes. The bathroom sink was clogged and the water drained very slow. I pulled out the drain plug and it had so much disgusting gunk on it would make you sick to look at it. There were no bath rags. Couldn't get a room where we could see our vehicle in the parking lot. Had plenty of empty rooms but no housekeepers to clean them.
