Comfort Inn University Area

Beyond the Lobby is a joke. Don't let cheap price fool you on booking when you get to hotel to check in you have some incidental fee to pay extra when you arrive that it doesn't state on the site at the time of booking. Get to elevator floor inside is dirty with mud and sticky stuff. Got off elevator room is literally right next to elevator. That was the worst room. we heard the elevator noise going up and down the hold time. But the manger said this was a good room he changed us too. first night stay starting smelling dry piss smell went bought air freshener and Lysol to spray smell. We didn't know where smell was coming from either the carpet or the dirty run down stain up sofa . Then tub drain was not draining when taken a shower water build up as though you was taking a bath. what's

The pictures when booking were very misleading. The facility and room were not as shown. All the furniture in the room was scratched and chipped. The couch had stains on it. The lobby area consistently smelled of marijuana. It was a game day weekend so the rates were outrageous, which is expected. However, when paying almost $500 for a room for the weekend I would expect the quality to be much better.

I had an overall good experience during my stay. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The hotel room had a microwave and mini fridge. I received good customer service from the front desk employee during my time checking in and checking out. My only concern is the elevator appeared to be old and sounded old as if it might need maintenance.

The air conditioner in my room sounded like a truck. Floor in the elevator was dirty and sticky. Ice machine on the 3rd floor (4 rooms away from mine) was very loud. The breakfast was very nice. Employees were VERY nice, epically the young lady who took care of the breakfast. Over all it was a nice stay. None of these things will stop me from staying with Comfort Inn in the future.

Phones don't work. Thermostat doesn't work. Kinda overall college dorm room quality of furnishings and equipment. Just looks old and terrible.... and I LOVE Comfort Suites and will go out of my way to stay at them. Not near LSU though, not again.
