Comfort Inn & Suites Socorro

We stayed here for a yearly event. It seems the hotel has not been able to plan for this event even though it is a yearly event for many years. Our checking was delayed. The room was spacious with decent newish furniture. Mattress was very comfortable. Good linens. Arm chair, dining table and chairs, nice storage, good sized bathroom, Kuerig style coffee pot. Everything in working order. A little stingy with coffee pods but I was able to get some at the desk. The staff tries very hard but management needs to step up.||The parking lot is only partially paved and the dirt lot has lots of pot holes. In mid January, we were returning Choice member guests expecting acceptable accommodations again this year. Unfortunately, after settling in and getting ready to take a shower, we found the carpet in the room (# 315) was littered with pea gravel! The room phone was not working to call for housekeeping so I had to go back downstairs to the front desk only to find that the attendant was the only hotel employee there for the night. She did not offer a room change but found a filthy vacuum which I took up and vacuumed the room myself so that we could get some rest before an early departure this morning. At checkout, I spoke to the new desk attendant who wasn’t concerned or apologetic. I requested to speak to the manager and was given her card. I sent an email that same day and never received a

Went to a class at New Mexico Tech and its like a 2 minute drive. The breakfast is free and they have it hot every morning. The rooms are nice and big, they aren't fancy and nothing high tech in the room. The staff does a good job besides the night shift person is very quiet and hard to hear on the phone. I have stayed here twice and I will come back again. The parking lot always feels safe.

Hotel was very clean, well kept, front desk was friendly and the breakfast was just about what you would expect. I enjoyed the stay, have 0 conplaints. We went to see the birds at the natural resrrve and came back for breakfast and checked out by noon. I would stay there again.

We stayed in an ADA suite with two rooms, a wonderful walk-in accessible shower, and on top of that, the Inn was quiet. We were very surprised after a 10 hour drive down to Socorro from northern Colorado that day to find this really comfortable suite. In addition the beds were great too!....
