Comfort Inn & Suites Port Charlotte-Punta Gorda

Shout out to Audrene, the maintenance team and even the night staff who checked me in. I checked in and had a problem with something in my room. I was immediately offered a new room. Somewhere in the move, we lost our keys. After a frantic search coming up short. The search continued through the night. The next morning, Audrene, the manager, said, let's go back to the first room to search. There was another SUPER AWESOME tenant in place. They allowed us to ONCE AGAIN, search the room. The keys were found in the room. Audrene never had to help me out. She went above and beyond to help me. I'd like to add that we have stayed here before and will return again. The parking is very good for us as we travel in a van with a trailer for work. There are plenty of dining options within safe walkin

The staff were friendly, welcoming to me and my dog. I was staying by myself with my dog and as a woman felt comfortable and safe in the hotel. The room overall was clean, my only complaint was the staining on the carpet, but it’s to be expected in a pet friendly hotel. Either way, we’d stay again :)

This was a very well maintained property. Especially considering it was pet friendly. I was there over NYE . It was quiet. The only draw back was the shower hot water was closer to cold. When we told front desk and maintenance manager, his,maintenance manager, response was a shrug and doubt. I brought him to the room so he could feel the water temperature himself and he was somewhat blasé in his acknowledgement of the fact the water was not hot. This put a big dent in an otherwise appreciative stay at this property.

Worst hotel ever! Smelled, Stains, and bed bugs. Elevator broken. We were sent to the 3rd floor via stairs and had to switch rooms due to the bed bugs. Back down to the desk and up to 2nd floor for a new room of which we never slept. It was just nasty!!

Staff was polite and check in/out went smoothly, but the room had a very musty/moldy smell that was almost bad enough for me to request a change, but I'm not sensitive and decided to live with it. I had a two-queen room and the bed/linens were nice. Pillows were cube-shaped and all a bit firm. Breakfast was OK (DIY waffles, a small hot selection, yogurt, fruit, bagels, juice machine and coffee.) All-in-all, it was about what I expected, and without the mustiness of the room, I'd have given it four stars.
