Comfort Inn & Suites Houston FM1960 - Champions

I booked this place as a last resort when all flights from IAH were cancelled. If you find yourself in a similar situation, please look at another option. The property is relatively new, but it's very, very dirty. The rooms smell like smoke and you could tell the bathroom and floors hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I booked this place thinking I could get some quick rest after a long day of travel ...I probably would have been better off sleeping in the airport.

I checked in very late - around 8-9pm - and the woman at the counter was extremely friendly and nice. She made conversation with us about our trip and our jobs and told us all the available amenities. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast in the morning was your average hotel breakfast, but had more options than I usually see so close to the end of breakfast time. They did not begin cleaning up breakfast right at the end time, which was nice because they let us keep grazing on what was left before finally taking it away about 20 minutes after breakfast had ended. The vending machines were really cool. There were cheap toiletries in the vending machine that you could buy in case you forgot something at home, and the cola vending machine had ice cold drinks for pretty cheap. I had a gr

Unfortunately, our room did not meet the standards I expected for the rate paid. The air conditioner would only stay on for about an hour before shutting off, making it difficult to remain comfortable. The tile flooring appeared to be coming up in areas, and the shower never reached a comfortably hot temperature. Additionally, the beds were much firmer than anticipated, which affected our overall rest. I do want to note that the customer service was very good, and the staff was professional and courteous. However, due to the multiple room issues, I feel I did not receive the level of comfort or quality that I paid for during my stay. Well this will be my last stay in a choice hotel. You get my rate for a stay 102.00 with tax. A room is available but greed has crept in. Lets charge you 50.00 dollars more for checking in at 11am. I totally understand if a room isn't available. But this room sits open running the ac. Maybe a light on. So let's be greedy and want more. If my reservation was refundable I would cancel. Good bye choice hotels. You have made the choice for me to never choose choice again. I hope you get enough 50.00 dollar upgrades to make loosing a customer for life. Me and my mom was just there this weekend 11-15-2025. My mom had just check us in it went great we was in for a family party why we getting dress I saw a roach I was like okay I just seen one then my mom saw some more. She was like naw let me go down here let them no what going on she she did the lady at the front desk was yelling at my mom like we was lying about the bugs let me tell you this we don’t live like that. So then the lady gave us a different room hell that room smell like smoke so I did sleep good didn’t shower hell I had to take a hoe bath I didn’t eat breakfast this not a clean hotel I’m sorry it’s not then when we check out we ask if it was Manager, and we was told they don’t speak to anyone in person hmmm that crazy lies. I will never come back to this place again
