Comfort Inn & Suites Emporia

Overall, the hotel was acceptable for a short stay. The room was clean, which is a definite plus. The heater worked quietly and maintained a comfortable temperature, making the stay pleasant. There were a few downsides. The bed linen was wrinkled, which affected the overall impression. In the bathroom, the body lotion bottle was empty, and the shower gel had been spilled and not cleaned up. Breakfast was advertised as a continental breakfast, but it was very limited. There were no fruits, and the overall selection was poor. Eggs were provided already peeled, which is not ideal — it would be better if they were served unpeeled. Overall, breakfast leaves much to be desired. In general, the hotel is fine for a short stay, but there is room for improvement.

Pretty average Choice property. ||Front desk personnel were indifferent with some having a difficult time getting off their cell phone to help us. This doesn't happen at most Choice properties.||Breakfast a little better than average Choice breakfast.||Room was very clean and quite comfortable. Climate control worked great and was easy to set.

Beds were very comfortable and lobby was very nice. Room was clean. Check-in clerk, and check out clerk were both very antisocial people, had a hard time making eye contact and gave brusque and borderline rude service. An underlying feeling that corners are cut there…. Hot and cold was reversed on sink and probably just left that way for a long time , no meat offering at breakfast. They just don’t accommodate guests in a way that makes the guest feel valued or appreciated.

I am a previous guest. The quality of the breakfast has improved, thanks in large part to the biscuits and gravy. The room was clean and both the television and internet worked. My only concern was water that leaked onto the floor during my shower. Possibly I didn't secure the shower curtain properly. Since this was a possibility, I did not notify the front desk. I do suggest, however, that the shower be checked in room 101.

My room had a comfortable bed with decent water pressure for the top floor. The room and hotel were clean. Breakfast was standard fare. However, the room fridge was not cold, and the bathtub faucet dripped. The only ice machine I could find was on the main floor, which is a minor inconvenience.
