Comfort Inn & Suites Charleston Airport Convention Center

There is no free wifi. It took 45 minutes to connect multiple times. TV service is awful no streaming service available, Comcast cable, the guide would not show. The host said ,"well you know it's just a Comfort Inn". The toilet seat was about to fall off. We came back one night at 9:30 the door was locked, we had a key, but another person had been waiting for 20 minutes. No one was at the desk.

Pillows are flat. I asked for two more to go with the one I had. They were flat. I have neck issues and this was not helpful. Room was ok, but the shower door and around it were dirty looking. Like they had old glue on them. Breakfast was sparse. Chairs in the dining room were worn and looked nasty. I had stayed at the Comfort Inn in Mt. Pleasant a year ago and had a good experience. Great food, great linens and pillows. Very helpful staff. That is why I tried the one at the airport because the wedding we were attending was close by. They were like night and day. I stayed here for a night while working in the area. No issues with the hotel at all. Was clean in my room and the staff I encountered was very polite. Can be horrible to get in and out of the hotel in and traffic. But that's not the hotels issue.

⚠️ Please don’t book a room here! I had one of the worst hotel experiences of my life at this Comfort Inn. I asked to extend my stay by one night, but instead of letting me stay in the same room, they forced me to pack up all my belongings and move to another one. I did so before work, exhausted but trying to stay polite. After a long day, I came back late and went straight to bed. The next morning, rushing to catch my flight, I discovered there was no warm water—not in the sink, not in the shower. I let it run for about 10 minutes, still nothing but cold water. I didn’t have time to switch rooms again, so I had no choice but to skip my shower and head to the airport. At checkout, I explained what happened and asked for some kind of compensation. The best part of the stay was getting to leave. When I checked in the price was higher than shown on the website but my fault since I didn't book ahead. When I got to the room the toilet was stopped up and filled to almost the rim. When I talked to the front desk clerk said she'd try to find a plunger. She called back to let me know that she didn't have a plunger but that I would be welcome to come down from the 3rd floor to use the toiled in the lobby. When I asked for another room, I was told that she couldn't arrange that. When I asked to speak to a manager, guess what? I was told that she couldn't do that either, and she wasn't allowed to have the manager contact me. She did finally find a plunger and brought it to me so I COULD DO THEIR MAINTENANCE.
