Comfort Inn South Oceanfront

Excellent location with great views from oceanside rooms. Room was clean and well appointed. Bathroom was scrupulously clean and well supplied. We travel with a dog, and pets are welcome on the 3rd floor, thus leaving the rest of the hotel a pet free zone which is particularly important for those with allergies. Breakfast was served in a clean, comfortable room with more than adequate choices available. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, even making dining suggestions. Wifi was typical of hotels. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel to any and all. Price was more than reasonable.

This is a well-kept hotel with exceptional staff. It is very clear that they care for the guests. Rooms are spacious and scrupulously clean. We are pleased that pets are limited to the 3rd floor. This leaves pet lovers together and reserves the other floors for persons who might have allergies or who simply don't like pets. We always travel with a dog and always feel welcome here. Wi-Fi has improved since our last stay. Breakfast is more than sufficient and breakfast attendants continue the friendly mien of this unit.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel 3 times over the past two years. (We went twice with a birding group.) The views of the ocean from the premium priced rooms are indeed breathtaking. But I emphatically agree with most of the negative comments you will find on this page. The breakfasts are as frugal as they can possibly make it—not nearly as good as at Hampton Inns. Reconstituted “scrambled eggs” and fatty bacon are the highlight of their offerings. Although the staff is friendly enough, they will not help you if things go wrong. And for me things went seriously wrong when I slipped and fell on the slick tiles of the main entrance. There was some kind of slime on the walkway that got all over my clothing. They hastened to put down a few cones and some sand or salt, but this was insufficien

I stayed there because my friends had a "crafty" long weekend. The room we used for crafting was good. The breakfast room was good...food adequate. Hotel needs some work. Carpets worn, elevators slow and broke down at least once while I was there. A minimalfix was done to the elevator. Having your room cleaned every three days was strange. However, if that’s the case, do a good job when you clean the room. When I came up to my floor and saw they were working on cleaning a room, one of the young ladies was sitting on the floor using her phone next to my door. I went into my room. They were "finished" with my room. They made the bed (did not change sheets and I had made the bed...so not really sure what they did to the bed!). Room was not cleaned well. I had a used soap on the edge of the tub and I had a blood covered pillow on the bed. Luckily I saw it before laying down. You could see the blood through the pillowcase. Disgusting. I complained to the front desk and they acted like it was no big deal !!! They had someone come collect the pillow and replace it , worried about what they did with it. I had to pay extra for this oceanfront room that really needs a refurbishing Never heard a word from management
