Comfort Inn Ruther Glen near Kings Dominion

Our room was newly remodeled and very neat, roomy, fresh and clean. It had everything we needed. One electrical outlet was broken but otherwise everything worked well. The bed was very comfortable and the atmosphere was quiet, so we slept well. The price was very reasonable.

For those that follow us here on Google you guys know we travel a whole lot. There's a bunch of you that follow us. Yesterday we were beginning our commute from Florida to Rhode Island and we stopped at this hotel. There was some mixed reviews but the price was right. We noticed outside that there was a whole lot of old furniture and bedding. That was a great sign. They are completely renovating and revamping this beautiful property. The room we are currently staying in right now has been completely renovated with new carpeting, a brand new bed, and a chair that I think I was the first person to sit in! Nice Big clean room,Cheap prices and great staff. We stayed at some nice hotel in Dc and NYC and I would take this room over those.

Stopped here for a few hours sleep while traveling from NY to SC. Great experience. Our room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was perfect to get us back on the road.

While the beds were comfortable and the shower water was hot, the following issues caused me to give this hotel a low score: 1) window was filthy inside and out, with a huge crack in and broken seals around the perimeter. consequently, it was covered with kudzu bugs on the glass and interior curtains. The curtains didn’t even cover the entire window, letting in jarring street lamps in the parking lot. 2) there were zero towels racks in the bathroom, causing us to have to hang our used towels over the blow dryer, door handles, anywhere we could find a spot. 3) the shower water pressure was so low you could barely feel it. There were hairs around the basin. 4) the towels were a dingy color. Not true white but more of a gross gray/beige, making them seem dirty. 5) the ac made a ton of n
