Comfort Inn Pensacola - University Area

I usually love staying at Comfort Inns but did not have a good experience on my stopover from Texas to Disney World. There were many homeless people nearby, which made me worry about my car being broken into. The door key did not work, so I had to go back downstairs to the front desk to get a working key. The employee did not apologize or act concerned about the inconvenience. The room was fine. The breakfast was OK except the biscuits were ice cold and no microwave was available to warm them. The employees just did not seem very professional. I will look for another place to stay on my next trip.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn Pensacola on February 18, 2025, and was extremely disappointed with the experience. Upon checking in around 10 PM, my wife and I retired to our room, tired from the day's travels. We fell asleep on top of the bed with the throw blanket and only got under the covers when we got chilly in the morning. After showering and preparing to start our day, we discovered a condom print with a bloody stain on the sheets. When we reported this to the housekeeper, she initially denied any issue, only to later change her story and imply the stain was from us after we said we took pictures. This was clearly a case of deflection, and it's unacceptable that we were treated as the perpetrators rather than the victims of poor housekeeping. We explained that this was not possible

Overall the room wasn't bad, but it was hard to maintain a temperature and the blackout curtain doesn't go more than a quarter of the way across the window. I was in town working nights and needed to sleep during the day. It was very hard to do with the sun shining through the window. However every employee was kind and polite and the hotel is clean. There is construction going on in a lot next to the hotel so it does make the day quite noisy for now.

I visited this hotel in 2023 for a work trip. It was a nice stay then. I'm back in the area again for work and I noticed they have updated the rooms. The updates to the hotel are really nice. The rooms are all modern with new furniture and bedding. The bathroom has been fully renovated and looks good. The bed was super comfortable, im sure they have updated it since the last time i was here. Over all the stay was comfortable and quiet. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am working in Pensacola, and I would recommend it to others as well. Update: one fun event. The fire department came because the alarm was going off. This was due to some idiots cooking in their rooms on my floor. Other than that, I can't complain this hotel is great. I stayed here with friends for a weekend trip and had a really good experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and seemed recently updated. Nicole at the front desk was especially helpful—she gave us great restaurant recommendations and even shared a coupon, which was a nice touch. Breakfast had a good variety and was better than I expected for a hotel breakfast. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again when we’re in the area.
