Comfort Inn Meridian - Bonita Lakes

Came to town for a wedding and stayed here for the weekend. The building is a little dated, but kept clean and maintained. The room is large and spacious, and the amenities are good. The staff is super friendly and helpful, always greeting us on site. The location feels safe and it's very accessible to whatever shopping and restaurants one could possibly ask for, and it's just moments away from beautiful Bonita Lakes.

We stayed in the Comfort Inn at Meridian. We were not happy with the room. And the final straw was no hot water for our morning shower. When we called about the water we were told they were aware of this - no apology, no expected time of repair, etc. I asked about a discount on the room as I checked out - not a refund, just a discount. The clerk was pleasant but said the manager would need to approve this and she was not in but she would call me back. 17 days and at least 6 calls later, the manager has never been in and has yet to call me back. I'm as disappointed in that as much as the room. How do you treat people who are not Choice Members?

Positive: Friendly staff and close by to gas stations and restaurants. Negative: Did not keep up on supplies as i was there for 6 nights, 7 days. Especially the towels. Floor should have been kept swept and mopped.

1st room was dirty, ceiling falling in, comforter stained, air-conditioner didn't work. 2nd room was better but still had ceiling coming down and dryway/ceiling dust everywhere. Nighttime attendant was not at desk and we waited outside for over 10 minutes before another patron came up to let us inside. Attendant was watching TV in breakfast area and just looked at us when we came in before finally getting up and returning to desk to check us in. He was very kind and polite about changing the room though when I had to come back down.

Wow what a pleasant surprise! I was a little cautious because of the great room price but this was an excellent choice. Staff was friendly & helpful. Even offer a cup of coffee at our arrival. Room was clean a nice sized. Breakfast even offered bacon & eggs. I highly recommend this hotel.
