Comfort Inn Battle Mountain - Midway Between Elko and Winnemucca

Comfort Inns are usually one of our main stays, most receiving perfect 10 scores. When we got there at 9pmish there were 3 cleaning carts in the hallway to our room. Quite unusual! The room itself was clean and tidy even though the tissue paper and toilet paper was a bit thin. Beds were just too soft so be aware not much back support. My kid liked them though. Didn't like being able to hear outside car traffic so glad it is off the highway a bit and not many cars drove by. Could hear guests bathroom and door closings. Breakfast was incredibly disappointing. Hot items looked lifeless but I gave it a shot anyway. Very disappointed and tasted horrible. Out of regular waffle mix so hubby had to have strawberry. Butter so rock hard that it tore my toasted bagel apart trying to spread it.

The bed was comfortable. It took awhile for the hot water to arrive, but when it did it was fine. Breakfast was well presented and offered a variety of items to choose from. Overall, we were pleased with our choice to stay here, it was conveniently located and it suited our needs very well.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the place was pretty quiet. Breakfast is definitely worth getting up a little early for. I had an even numbered room, so I could hear the trains going by at night, but it wasn't super loud.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. Let's start with the simple stuff. Breakfast: Biscuits without gravy, gravy without biscuits, raw sausage, raw frozen diced potatoes, broken coffee machine, food poisoning from the eggs, bad apples in fruit bowl, no way to cook the oatmeal... It also be nice to be able to open the hot plate cover without it going all the way to the back or needing to hold it while getting the food. Assigned unclean room at check-in. Only receiving cleaning service upon request even if you stay longer than 3 nights like the signage in the room states. Front desk staff never at desk - either smoking or hiding on their phones. Front desk staff seen smoking inside the building. Laundry machine made clothes more dirty than when they went in. No water pressu

The front desk lady was super kind and understanding. But as soon as we walked into our room it smelled like boiled broccoli and weed, and it wouldn't go away either. We turned the heating on cause it was set to 65°F and we could smell the dust burning off the AC. Breakfast was alright if you picked the right things, the orange juice was mostly water, and the potatoes were boiled- not fried. I will admit though the beds were comfortable.
